For the purpose of filling the positions of lawyer, social worker, as well as psychologist of the Probation Service of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia, the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia has undertaken activities to establish a manpower bank for the Service.

The objectives of the Probation Service are to implement individual planning for execution of non-custodial punishments and alternative measures of restraint, assessing the risks and taking into account the needs of the probation beneficiary; to provide reports on the probation beneficiary in regard to conditional early release from serving the punishment or replacement of the punishment with a milder punishment, the cancellation of conviction; to execute non-custodial punishments and other coercive measures imposed by the court; to execute alternative measures of restraint during criminal proceedings, etc.
