We also inform that, in relation to this, the actions carried out and currently being carried out by the Government of the Republic of Armenia, namely the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia, are only aimed at protecting the interests of the Republic of Armenia at the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes and comply with the legislation of the Republic of Armenia and international practice for the examination of such cases. Based on the above-mentioned, we consider that the statements "clean" a certain person or "justify protectionism" of a certain person — included in the publication — are unacceptable and don't correspond to the reality, to say the least.

Adoption of the mentioned drafts will help ensure proper provision of medical aid and services for detained persons and convicts, specify the volume and content of services and medical aid provided to detained persons and convicts, ensure efficiency of the process for referral of detained persons and convicts and create necessary guarantees and mechanisms for ensuring the right of detained persons and convicts to health maintenance.

Minister of Justice of the Republic of Armenia Artak Zeynalyan also delivered a speech at the plenary session held on 27 July. The draft Law recommends to exclude the ground provided for in point (c) of part 1 of Article 16 of the Family Code for divorce through judicial procedure, and the recommendation is the following: Where there is mutual consent of spouses for divorce, the divorce may not be carried out through judicial procedure, if the requirements related to disputes provided for in part 1 of Article 17 of the Family Code have not been presented together with the divorce.
